I participated in Photo Camp at Aperture where I had an assignment to capture "The Culture of Now" and only one day to shoot! I went for a modern day August Sander series taking photos of people and their professions. There will be a show June 28 - July 9, reception Tuesday the 28 at 6pm, with images from all the participants.

I donated a photograph for InMotion's Photography Auction on April 7, which was tons of fun and my photo was right next to one of my favorite images by Debbie Grossman!

PCNW Vol. 3 featuring work from students, facutly, and alumni of the Photo Center Northwest is now available. For the third year in a row I submitted my work and was curated into this book! You can buy a copy online at Blurb.com or in person at PCNW. One of my images in the book, Bike, will be for sale as a 11x14 inch print in the bins at the Photo Center.
I have been invited to participate in the American Women project organized by Suart Pilkington. Stuart has curated several other similar projects such as The 50 States Project and The Alphabet Project. Around 30 other photographers and I will be shooting four portriats through out 2010 to contribute to American Women. Check out the website and my project page to see updates throughout next year!
January 2010 UPDATE: the American Women project has been canceled and instead I will be part of The Chain project in 2011.
After much hard work applying to get my MFA I have been accepted to the School of Visual Art's graduate Photo, Video and Related Media Department and will be starting school in August!
Humble Arts Foundation is pre-selling The Collectors Guide to Emerging Art Photography which will be officially released in March. The Collector's Guide is an invite only, unique 180–page source book distributed to collectors, art dealers, gallery directors, photo editors, museum professionals, and independent curators. Published biennially, The Collector's Guide aims to further Humble's mission by bridging the gap between ambitious early-career photographers and often-unapproachable photography professionals and art institutions.
