Jenny Riffle (b. 1979, Mt. Vernon, WA) is an artist and a photographer based in New York. She graduated from Bard College in 2001 with a BA in Photography and received her MFA at the School of Visual Arts in 2011. Riffle works with narrative portraiture and landscapes that explore the psychological essence of a person or place.

Her photographs have been exhibited internationally and she has been featured in, and photographed for, numerous publications worldwide including WIRED, Time Lightbox, The Independent, The Guardian, The New York Times, Telegraph Magazine, M Le magazine du Monde, Glamour and VICE. 

A book of her collaborative self portraits It’s Raining… I Love You was published in 2020 by Minor Matters Books and her monograph Scavenger: Adventures in Treasure Hunting was published by Zatara Press in 2015. Riffle’s awards include Artist Trust’s GAP, FotoFilmic’s BMNF Award, The Pilkington Prize, PDN’s 30, and the Aaron Siskind Foundation Grant.
