In contemporary times when reality seems unreal and truth is uncertain, I explore the limitations of my own beliefs.
I question, What is a ghost? Utilizing photography, I search. Long exposure pinhole images capture months in one image, forcing time to stand still. Lumen prints of leaves become fleeting ghostly impressions of what was alive and now is dead. Photographs of orbs and light, blurry images that suggest a presence that can’t be seen by the naked eye. Forests captured with expired polaroid film with hazy chemical stains and fading colors become spectral echoes of the landscape. The unseen energy of the trees made visible. There are experiences in my life that make me question the supernatural. I can't say that ghosts exist, but I can't say I am certain ghosts don't exist, either. I have always wanted to believe.
