Spectral Lineage: Parlor of Shadows

July 03, 2026

Thank you to everyone who came to the opening of Spectral Lineage: Parlor of Shadows. There is something special about seeing work leave the studio and begin new conversations. It was wonderful to spend the evening talking about photography, memory, ghosts, and all the strange ways images continue to haunt us long after they’re made.

The exhibition remains on view through August 1, so if you’re in Seattle, I hope you’ll stop by and spend some time with it.

My deepest thanks to Jenny Hansen Das for creating such a thoughtful home for this work at The Seattle Light Room!

Sharing this exhibition with my longtime friend Ann Pallesen made it all the more meaningful. We’ve been part of each other’s photographic lives for so many years, and to finally have our work in conversation together felt very special!
